Ira's first professional endeavor was in the field of clinical psychology, followed by over two decades as a musical performer and recording artist, during which he toured extensively across the United States and internationally.
 
As an attorney, Ira’s early training provides him with exceptional insight into handling complex family-related matters, and is widely respected for his outstanding communication and dispute resolution skills. Before founding Ira Heller Law in New Jersey, Ira served as an associate at the prestigious Madison Avenue law firm, Heller, Horowitz & Feit, established by his father, Jacob W. Heller, Esq., one of the most esteemed attorneys of his generation. It was at this firm that Ira honed his litigation skills, which he later applied as a highly effective family law litigator after relocating his practice to New Jersey in 2013.
 
Today, Ira’s practice is primarily focused on Family Law, encompassing various methods of dispute resolution, including divorce mediation, collaborative divorce, civil mediation, and arbitration. Dedicated to giving back to the community, Ira has also taught courses on the United States Constitution at a local high school and coached the school’s Mock Trial team.
